TEXT: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept my word, and have not denied my name" (Rev 3:8)
Beloved, if certain things are not working in your life, it does not necessarily mean that they are not God's will for you, they are not working because you don't know how to make it work. You are not seeing some blessings in life because you don't know how to take delivery of them.
Everything that pertains to our comfort in life is available in Christ (2Pet 1:3). Paul the Apostle said: "All things are yours..." (1Cor. 3:22-23). These things include those precious things, wonderful promises that you are waiting on God for! Precious things like marital breakthrough, business breakthrough, career breakthrough, healing, victory over sinful habits and addiction, etc; they are all yours. But to enjoy them, you need to know what to do.
Now back to the qualities found in the Church at Philadelphia that prompted Jesus to reward them with an open door. The reason why we are taking time to lay a solid foundation for this prophetic word is because doors will not open on their own if we don't know what to do and do them. This is why we are using the Church in Philadelphia as a case study.
Yesterday, concerning the Church in Philadelphia, we examined the fact that Jesus Christ knew their deeds (works). Hear me child of God, the same way Jesus knew their deeds (works) is the same way He knows our deeds (work) today. There is nothing that we do, say or think, that Jesus does not know. Jesus Christ knew their hearts and He knew that they had truly accepted Him as their Saviour and Lord. So, He had to reward them with an open door and no one could take that away from them.
Beloved child of God, is there a sin in your life that you don’t want anyone to know about? Well, there is nothing secret that Jesus does not know. It is practically impossible to hide anything from Him. You cannot hide from His sight. Men may not know but He knows all. So the next time you do something that you wouldn’t want anyone to see or know, remember that Jesus sees and knows it all.
You may cover your sins that no one else would know it but you cannot hide it from Jesus. He said: "I know your works." In other words, I know all that you do both in the secret and in the open. He is Omnipresent, He is everywhere, and He knows all things. Our secret sins are in the light of His presence. Sometimes He laughs when He sees us closing doors and windows trying to cover the things we do.
In Acts chapter 5, Ananias and Sapphira thought they were keeping a secret. They did not know they were digging their own graves. You cannot hide your sins from Jesus. Nothing in all creation is hidden from His sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account (Heb 4:13 - NIV). What account are you going to give? When Satan tempts you to close doors, windows, or run to sin, remember that nothing in all creation is hidden from His sight. The reason why you are not dead like Ananias and his wife is that God is waiting for you to repent (2 Pet 3:9).
What sin is slowing you down in life? I encourage you to tell it all to Jesus now and be ready to turn away from it. He has the Power to save you. "If we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1John 1:9). This is how to attract open doors.
PRAYER: That yoke of sin slowing you down in life and destiny is finally broken today, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
