TEXT: "And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me" (Acts 12:8)

I welcome you to another week of encounters. My prayer for you today is that in this new week, you shall encounter a word that will shift your life forward. Stagnation shall break out of your life, in Jesus name.

My dear child of God, obedience is the pathway to distinction in life. Looking at the scripture from Genesis to Revelation, we find out that the word of God has a lot to say about obedience. In the story of the Ten Commandments, we see how important the concept of obedience is to God. The book of Deuteronomy 11:26-28 sums it up said: "Obey and you will be blessed. Disobey and you will be cursed." In the New Testament, we learn through the example of Jesus Christ that believers, you and I, are called to a life of obedience.

What is obedience? Obedience is doing what you are asked to do, how you are asked to do it and when you are asked to do it. Obedience is simply heeding to instructions and complying accordingly.

God never demands us to do anything just for the sake of it. He always has our good in mind. When God gives an instruction, it is absolutely for our benefit in the long term. In the short-term, it might look unnecessary and make no sense but our God is all wise and all good. Also, God wants to know our heart and confirm that we will choose Him even when His instructions don’t make any sense. Never for once think obedience to God is vain.

In today's anchor scripture, the gate that opened to Peter on its own accord was as a result of Peter's obedience to the instruction from the Angel. The Angel said: "Gird thyself and follow me."

Beloved, I want to let you know this morning that your open door is tied to your willingness to obey divine instructions. The Bible says: "If you be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land" (Isaiah 1:19). Most of the miracles in the Bible happened as a result of people's obedience to divine instructions. For instance, door to supernatural provision of the best wine opened at wedding in Cana because the servants were willing to obey Jesus' instruction (John 2).

Please, in the remaining days of this month, if you are prompted by the Holy Spirit or by God's servants to do any thing, don’t waste time in doing it, even if it doesn't sound logical to you. Do you remember the illogical instruction given to the widow at Zarephat by Prophet Elijah? Supernatural provision was the outcome of her obedience (1Kings 17). There’s always a prophetic grace and a timeline attached to every instruction. Once you fulfill it in time, you easily activate the prophetic grace of what God has already spoken to you about.

Anyone or anything that makes you disregard genuine prophetic instruction(s) is a trap from hell to keep you in one spot. Disobedience hinders fufilment of prophecies. Many people have missed their miracles due to this. What hinders the word that is spoken over our lives from coming to pass is disobedience on our part. I want you to watch out for divine instructions from now on and be ready to dive into them because they are keys to your fresh open door.

PRAYER: You will not miss your own fresh open door this month in Jesus name.

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
