KEYS TO FULFILMENT OF PROPHECIES

1Tim 1:18 "This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare."

Before I continue with the prophetic focus of this month (Open Doors), I will like to remind you again that prophecies are not to excite us; rather, they are the expressions of God’s thoughts and purpose for one's life. The purpose of prophecies is for us to have the pre knowledge of what is going to happen in our life per time.

The scripture says: "The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand (Is 14:24).

However, we cannot see prophecies fulfilled, until we take responsibility to believe. No matter how potent a prophetic word is, it cannot fulfil itself, we have a role to play. Hear me child of God, as far as God is concerned, Open Doors is already fulfilled the first day it was declared. It is settled in heaven. The Bible says: "Forever oh Lord, thy word is settled in heaven" (Ps 119:89). But for every prophetic word to settle in your life, pay attention to the keys I want to point out today; this is because your action or inaction can provoke the fulfilment of this word or abort it.

To see the prophetic word for this month come to pass in your life:

1. Be Committed To Obeying The Word Of God. Obedience is the key to activating every prophetic word that comes your way. See, when God promised Abraham that he would be the father of many nations, that was a good and potent word; but it was Abraham’s life of obedience that made this prophecy a reality (Read Gen 22:15-18). Disobedience is the cankerworm that terminates the  fulfillment of prophecies in our lives (Jer 18:9-10). 

2. Engage The Altar Of Prayers. When God says something He is committed to that word only if we keep holding him in the place of prayers. When God promised Judah deliverance from Babylon after 70 years, it was Daniel's prayer of petition that changed their captivity because by this time no one was praying and the prophecy was delayed to 73years instead of 70 years as prophecied by Prophet Jeremiah (Dan 9:1-5). Prayerlessness delays or even terminates the fulfilment of prophecy in one's life, but fervent prayers activates and hastens it.

I want you to recognise that God is committed when He speaks. Everything He has spoken prophetically to us this month is already created. All we need do is to take delivery of the word by our unreserved obedience and fervent prayers.

However, you must be born again in order for this prophetic word (Open Doors) to become a reality in your life. Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so.

Say this prayer and mean it from your heart: Lord Jesus, I come to you today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with your blood. Today, I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you Jesus for saving me! Now, I am born again!
