TEXT: "Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown" (Luke 8:8 - NIV)
The word of God is a seed. Just like other seeds, it prospers and bears fruits in a fertile soil. Your heart is that soil. The type of heart you have will determine the productivity of the seed of the word of God in your life. This is why your heart must be prepared to make the seed of the word grow and produce fruits in your life.
The fourth category of hearts that Jesus pointed out in His parable is the good and noble heart. This is the type of heart I call: THE FERTILE HEART. Jesus gave His interpretation as: "But the seed on good soil stands for those with a NOBLE and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop" (verse 15). I want you to take note of the word in capital letter (Noble). You can see the reason why in Cathrine Khulman's meetings that not all that attended received their miracles.
The word of God is always true and will always produce results. It will not fall to the ground without performing its purpose (Isaiah 55:11). But why are so many not seeing the fulfilment of the word in their lives? The answer is not farfetched, it depends on the heart on which the word is planted. But why did the seed that fell on a good ground not produce equally? It still depend on the heart on which the word is received. This is why I want us to examine the qualities of the fertile heart that guarantees fulfilment of prophecies.
(1) NOBLE
The word noble means worthy, generous, upright, honorable, unselfish, good moral, no bitterness, no unforgiveness, no hatred, no envy. This type of heart is pure. Can you tell God this morning to give you a noble heart? If your heart is polluted with selfishness, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, etc, the word of God will not survive in it and therefore cannot bring forth fruits in your life. This is why many people don't see the manifestation of the word of God.
Jesus said in the beatitudes that: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" (Matt 5:6). When we are born again, God begins to change our hearts. God gradually gets rid of envy, anger, pride, and selfishness, and replace these attitudes with selflessness, humility, love, patience, and other virtues. So, the more we grow in these godly virtues, the more the word of God finds root in our hearts. To hold on to ungodly attitudes is to forfeit your blessings. James 1:7-8 describes how the double-minded man is unstable in all his ways and how he will receive nothing from God. The double-minded man is somebody who wants to live for the world and live for God at the same time. To love sin beloved, is to hinder your relationship with God and to deprive yourself of your open doors.
I want you to cry to God this morning that your doors must be opened this month and that your heart will not be an obstacle. Say this with me: "Jesus, I receive a noble heart right now!"
PRAYER: The prophetic word of open doors shall produce in your life in Jesus name.
