TEXT: "Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man." (Psalms 60:11)
There will be times when the help of man will fail you. No man can help you if God does not. Man has limitations. He can't always help you because he's limited by possession as discussed last week.
(2) HE IS LIMITED BY HIS PERCEPTION:
When a bank wants to assess you for a loan, it will look at your present financial status and past history to determine whether you are qualified or not. But when God wants to help you He will look at your needs and your future promises. He will then supply what you need now to keep you till the day His promise will manifest. Man cannot see far enough to see that you are a goldmine to invest in unless God opens his eyes to see or He gives you favour before the man.
Have you not noticed that the most successful men in all field of endeavors till date have once been rejected, mocked and ridiculed by men? For instance, our father, Bishop David Oyedepo was once rejected and mocked by his friends and colleagues for his message's sake. But no more today. God said to Abraham “look over the land, everywhere that you can see I have given it to you” (Gen 13:15). Many of us don't see far enough, so we don't receive big enough.
(3) HE IS LIMITED BY FORCES OF NATURE: That is, he grows old, he grows tired, he grows weak and dies. Saul had the best armour bearers, but they grew tired and slept. That's why David recalled that God is the only one who does not go weary or asleep. If Paul plants, Apollo waters without the help of God it's all in vain. The help you need is from God and it will come to you this month!
PRAYER: Your God's ordained helper will find you this week, in Jesus name.
