TEXT: "And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper" (2Chro 26:5).

Everyone of us is guaranteed the help of God as long as we remain connected to God. As long as we are connected to God, our source of help comes from Him, not from man or any government. King David says in Psalms 121:2 that "Our help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth." The implication of this verse is that the real help we need to get settled in life and destiny comes from God almighty Himself. Every other help from anywhere is just a temporary help which has expiry date and full of conditions that can make life unbearable. That is why it is important we look unto God for any help we desire here on earth.

What are the secrets to securing the help of God?

1. PRAYER: 

One of the secrets to securing the help of God is prayer. Hebrew 4:16 says "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." God has given us permanent invitation whenever we are in need of anything but it is a choice to go and get helped or forsake it.

Further more, the secret of king Uzziah’s success was because "he sought (prayed to) God in the days of Zechariah... And God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabian that dwelt in Gurbaal, and the Mehunmis (2Chro 26:5,7). Prayer is getting God to intervene in a situation on the basis of His Word. You need the help of God to overcome the enemy. What you do in prayer is to take your accuser to the courtroom of heaven for judgment. Once you are justified, the help of God is then released to you.

PRAYER: Your help has just arrived, in Jesus name.
