TEXT: "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3).
You cannot find help in this world until you first secure it from God, that is the truth we all need to embrace. If God is your helper, everything living or non-living will favour you. To look for help from sources other than God is to subscribe to failure. Does this mean that man cannot help you? No. Man will only help you when God chooses him to use him. No matter how great your destiny is, you need the help of God to become what God has destined you to be. So, how do we secure this help?
3. GENUINE SALVATION:
You cannot secure the help of God except you belong to the family of God. God is not obligated to helping you if you are not a member of His family. Many people are calling on God today for help but are living in sin. Sin blocks one from receiving help from God. You can't belong to the family of God if you have not returned to Him in genuine repentance.
Genuine repentance qualifies you to enjoy divine help. Church attendance is not salvation. Title or position in the Church is not a substitute to salvation. Salvation is recognising your sin and the willingness and readiness to turn to God by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Salvation makes you a child of God which ultimately qualifies you for His help. If you are not born again, you cannot experience this help. The Bible says: "Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers" (Job 8:20).
