TEXT: "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares" (Heb 13:2).
Many a time, we have missed several opportunities that could have caused our turnarounds due to our insensitivity and ignorance. There's a need for proper understanding however, of what the help of God really means. The help of God can be called divine or supernatural help. When God sends His angels to intervene in the affairs of man, it is called angelic intervention. Angels are divine messengers from heaven. This has been proven severally in the Bible. One of such instances is when three angels visited Abraham. Their visit was initiated by Abraham because they were going their way when he constrained them to come to his house (Read Gen 18).
Angels have been known as God's messengers of help in the lives of His people. But may I let you know that these angels will not fly to you with their wings. They usually come as human beings. So, it takes our spiritual sensitivity to know them. This was the case with Abraham. The writer of Hebrews admonished us to entertain strangers because we could be entertaining our angels of help unaware.
Hospitality is what gives birth to God's unstoppable intervention in the affairs of man. You must not hesitate to stretch a helping hand to strangers because you might be entertaining angels unaware. How and what did you do to that man/woman that needed your help in time past? Did you despise him/her? If you did, you may have despised an angel sent to help you unaware. Well, the good news is, another angel in human form will soon knock on your door; don't hesitate to atteng to him/her because you may be attending to agents of your rescue.
PRAYER: You will never miss your moment again, in Jesus name.
