THE NEED FOR POWER

TEXT: "And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high" (Luke 24:49)

Welcome once again to our month of Power. This month, the Power of God shall overshadow you for unlimited breakthrough, victory and outstanding results, in Jesus name. 

Have you ever considered why it is that after three years of Jesus teaching and training His disciples, He said they were not still ready? He was simply telling them that those teachings and training He gave to them were not enough to confront the devil out there. They needed something more than teaching and training. He must have answered all of their questions, modeled every form of ministry imaginable, and walked them through the scriptures. How do I know? The Bible says: "And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself" (Luke 24:27). But all these expounding of scriptures were not enough to confront the devil. 

Hear me child of God, going to Church, growing up in christian home or bearing christian names is not enough, it is not a substitute to Power - you can't defeat the devil with that. To live above all negative circumstances, satan and his cohorts and to succeed in your journey on earth, Power is needed. But what comes to your mind when you hear the word Power? Do you immediately think of God? Or are your first thoughts related to worldly power, that is, people who possess influence through politics, wealth or celebrity? Maybe you're equating the Power of God with good preaching of a man of God or when you see men roll on the floor during a ministration in the Church! All of the above must not be mistaken for the Power of God, though some of them can be reflections of His Power.

If you will make a mark in your career, ministry, business, home, in this wicked world, you must crave for Power. This is because, the adversary, the devil, doesn't want you to succeed in life. But when you are loaded with the Power of God, he has no choice than to submit to you. So, Power is the greatest secret to greatness in life!

PRAYER: The Power of God shall rest upon you mightily this month for all round victory, in Jesus name!

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
