TEXT: "O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary" (Ps 63:1-2).

We have established the fact that for anyone, be it a Bishop, a Founder, an Evangelist, a Prophet, a Sister or a Brother to experience the true Power of God, he/she must be baptised in the Holy Spirit. This experience always has speaking in tongues as the initial evidence. The meaning of this is that, you are not said to be baptised in the Holy Spirit if speaking in tongues is not there as a proof (Acts 2:4). Pst, I'm filled with the Holy Spirit but I don't speak or pray in tongues. If this is what you're saying, then it means you are not yet baptised with the Holy Spirit. You need to seek for the baptism of the Spirit else, you are still far from the Power.

God wants you and I to have this wonderful experience. This is what makes us effective witnesses. He is Almighty God and we can only represent Him here on earth through Power. We live in a wicked world and it takes power to subdue the wickedness of the wicked. This is the kind of Power that was upon Jesus that made demons to cry out of their victims (Mk 1:24; Lk 4:34). Demons naturally trembles at the Presence of Jesus not because He was the Son of God but because He was full of Power. 

"And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about" (Lk 4:14).

One of the requirements for the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a longing heart and a thirsty soul. The Bible says: "Those who thirst should come and drink freely" (Isaiah 55:1). If your heart is panting after the Power of the Holy Spirit, the Bible says you shall be filled (Matt 5:6). David was filled with the wonders of God because he longed for the Power of God (Ps 63:1-2). To long is to thirst or to have strong desire for water or something. Do you really desire to be empowered by the Holy Spirit this month and always? If your answer yes, then you need to crave, hunger and thirst for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It will land on you suddenly and it will be evident in your ability to speak in other tongues.

PRAYER: Be empowered by the Holy Spirit to overcome all issues of life, in Jesus name. 

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I shall continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
