THE GIVING POWER - Pt 2

TEXT: "While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease" (Gen 8:22).

Still on the subject of giving that I briefly mentioned yesterday, I want to throw more light on it. As pointed I out yesterday, before you can lay hold to the power to receive, you have to first possess the power to lay down. Jesus said that He had power to lay down His life and power to take it up (John 10:18). Giving and receiving is a covenant. Giving always comes before receiving. This is where many Christians are missing it. There is a law that states that: "Evaporation Leads To Raination." This simply means that before rain, there must be an evaporation. 

Many people today especially children of God are waiting for the rain of blessing. The truth is that there will never be rain if there's no evaporation, that is the law of nature. The Bible in today's anchor scripture made mention of 'seed' 'time' and 'harvest.' The meaning is that our seed has time but the time of harvest is determined by the law of giving and receiving. The law of giving and receiving states that "There is a due season for every harvest."

"And let us not be  weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not" (Gal 6:9).

Every time you give to God, His servants or to the needy, you are laying a foundation for your time of harvest. The Bible says: "In the  morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good" (Eccl 11:6). Beloved, your downpour of blessings is determined by your cloud. When your cloud is full, there will be a downpour of rain. To fill up your cloud so as to enjoy the downpour of rain, seize every opportunity that present itself to you to give cheerfully and sacrificially. By this, you are laying a foundation that will speak for many generations after you (Read Ps 112:1-3).

TODAY'S ACTION STEP:

* Give to God your time, talent and resources today and always. 

PRAYER: I decree on you the grace to give cheerfully, tirelessly and sacrificially in Jesus name!

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I shall continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
