POWER THROUGH SALVATION

TEXT: "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the  sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (John 1:12).

I want to begin this morning by letting you know that one of our redemptive packages is Power. The Bible says: "Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive POWER, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing" (Rev 5:12). Power is the authentic proof of Christianity. Without Power, Christianity would have been a mere religion. We need to crave for Power so as to dominate the circumstances that stand as threats to us. We need Power because it is our redemptive right.

But it is not enough to know our redemptive packages, we need to know how to access them. One of the channels through which we can access Power package is "New Birth." New birth launches us to the realm of Power. When I say New Birth, I mean salvation. No salvation, no Power! If you are not saved, you have no power to confront the enemy. When one is born again, he/she is born into Power. That is why our today's anchor scripture makes it clear that to those who believe and accept Jesus into their lives as Lord and Saviour, they are given Power.

Beloved, it is impossible to taste the Power of God without genuine salvation. Pls note that we are talking about the Power of God and not occultic, demonic or political power. To access the Power of God for your unquestionable dominion, salvation is a must. So, my question to you this morning is: "Have you confessed Jesus as your Lord and saviour?" If yes, congratulations, if no, it is time you make the decision because without it, Power is not possible and without Power, your dominion is not in view. This is the second time opportunity for salvation is reaching you this week. Don't miss this one!

If you are ready to surrender your life to Jesus, say this prayer after me: "Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I am a sinner, forgive me, cleanse me with your blood and empower me to live for you the rest of my life. Thank you for saving me. Now I am born again."
