(DAY 8 OF PRAYER AND FASTING)

TEXT: "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Gal 6:10)

Let me start by say to you that the way to get what you want is by giving away what you need. If you want celebration this year, help someone with what to celebrate with. You want lifting, lift someone. If you need happiness, go out and make someone happy. God will use that seed to bring you what you need. When God sees you being good to somebody even though you’re struggling, that’s the seed God will use to bring a harvest back into your own life.

when you reach out to others, the seed you sow will come back to you. Sometimes you can’t solve your own problem, but you can solve somebody else’s problem. God will enable you to help others so He can use it to bring your own harvest. We pray for God to answer our prayers, but many times God doesn’t send the answers we are asking for, He will send a need, and in that need is the seed that holds the answers we need. What God is asking you to do, the people He has laid in your heart to help, they hold the answer to your celebration this year. If you reach out to them, God will ensure that your own answer comes speedily.

The Bible says: "Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed" (Ps 37:3). Beloved, it is not enough to just trust in the Lord, you need to do good to somebody also. As you help others, God will help you. Some of you would see your prayer being answered, see your situation turn around, if you would just take time to reach out to somebody. You need to sow a seed of help in your time of need. After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before (Job 42:10). You can’t have a harvest without sowing a seed. The Bible says: "A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed" (Prov 11:25)

However, one of the benefits of prayer and fasting is God's vengeance on the wicked. You must understand that for the wicked to give up their wickedness against you, God has to show up. Pharaoh refused to release the children of Israel until vengeance came by the mighty Hand of God. God instructed every Israelite to put the blood on their door posts and lintel. He passed through Egypt and killed every first born of both man and animal.

Pharaoh was forced to release Israel. God will do same for you this season in Jesus name. In Isaiah 58:6, God proposed fasting as a means to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of wickedness, to let the oppressed go free and to put an end to slavery. So, prayer and fasting is not just a religious exercise but an avenue for incurring God’s vengeance on the wicked.

PRAYER: The God of vengeance will appear concerning your case this week, in Jesus name.

Note: Our prayer focus for Day 8 is: God, make my life a living proof of your mercy and favour this year, in Jesus name.

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
