(DAY 2 OF PRAYER AND FASTING) 

TEXT:"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matt 6:33)

How to rightly position yourself for Multiple Celebrations this new year is our focus this week. The truth is that when you honour God with your life, when you give Him the first place in your life, He will in turn put what is called "commanded blessing" on you. Commanded blessing is like a magnet, it attracts to you the right people, right ideas and right resources. You don’t have to go after these things, trying to make them happen in your life; all you need do is to keep honouring God, and the right people, right opportunities, right favour, right wisdom will find you. That is the interpretation of today's anchor scripture. 

When you give God the first place this year, you are honouring Him and you will become a magnet for God’s goodness. When you give Him first place, He will send blessings that will embarrass you and favour that will overtake you. Suddenly your health shall improve and your expected dream shall come to pass. These will not happen because of luck or coincidence but as a result of the commanded blessing on your life. When you honour God, His favour will saturate your life, promotion will be the order of happening around you and divine connections will follow and overtake you.

Honour originates from the heart (Isaiah 29:13) and it emanates from the value you place on something or somebody. So, you honour God by the value you place on Him. When you value Him, you will involve Him in all that you do. This year beloved, all that you will ever do must bring Him glory, that's how to to honour Him. As you honour Him, He will restore you and this will set your celebrations on course.

However, prayer and fasting guarantees fresh oil. Just like it takes fresh oil to keep the engine of your car in top gear, you and I also need fresh oil to keep our spirit-man buoyant and vibrant to receive the kind of celebration appointed for us this year. That is what prayer and fasting offers. The Bible says: "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles..." To wait upon the Lord connotes fasting. Fasting enables the renewal of the oil of God on our heads so that we can mount up with wings as eagles. Hallelujah! 

PRAYER: Receive fresh oil on your head today in Jesus name. 

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
