(DAY 9 OF PRAYER AND FASTING)

TEXT: "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Phil 3:13-14)

Dearly beloved, it is Time To Press On. It is time you allow the past to pass. Like apostle Paul, forget those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before you, press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Forget your past and press on in Jesus! Satan's favorite harassment is to bring up your past by pulling old skeletons out of the closet to scare you! Please be aware of his tricks and don't fall cheaply to his accusations. Satan will try to persuade you that your old addiction or lust is going to rise up again and bring back the devourer in your life! Don't listen to him, he is a liar and the father of all lies (John 8:44). You would be targeted by the enemy for sure. But guard your heart with all diligence against his whiles.

The good news is, if you do that which is right, who is he that can harm you? Though you may feel remorse for your wasted life as long as you live, yes, the memories will keep you humble; but in God's eyes, your past is a dead issue. As far as condemnation and guilt are concerned, God is saying to you today to "Forget the past and press on to what I promised you!" He is saying: "There is therefore, now, no condemnation for you because you are in Christ Jesus..." (Rom 8:1). You see, when Jesus restores you, the old wounds can't even be found! Beloved, take those old wounds; the worries and heart aches about your wasted years, and let God restore to you the very years that were taken away, then press on toward the prize of your high calling in Him! Keep pressing on and let the past be past!

 However, prayer and fasting enhances our capacity to receive from God. There are things you want God to do for you but the question is do you have the capacity to receive them on the altar of prayer and fasting? This was the secret of Esther in the Bible. If you cannot overcome the power of your belly, tell me, how do you want to overcome the power of a demon? There are things you have been trying to change in your life which you have been praying about for months or even years to no avail. I tell you this morning, as you engage prayer and fasting this season , answers will come. The reason is, fasting increases your capacity to receive. It makes you solely and completely open to God.

PRAYER: Receive capacity to attract the things you desire in life this year in Jesus name.

Note: Our prayer focus for day 9 is: Oh God perfect all that concerns me this year, in Jesus name.

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
