(DAY 12 OF PRAYER AND FASTING)

TEXT: "Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly. But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner" (Heb 13:18-19)

I want to start by saying that failure among God's people is nothing new. Many have sent themselves to early grave as a result of depression that emanated from failure. I saw a clip yesterday of a white man who committed suicide by jumping under the moving bus - The story has it that he was depressed. Hey! That you failed in time past or that you failed God is not the end of the road. Don't kill yourself with depression because you failed. Bible has stories of men who at one point or the other in their lives failed. For example, Samson, Solomon, the children of Israel, Jonah, all failed at one point in their lives. Even King David, a man the scripture refers to as a man after God's own heart also failed at a point in his journey in life (Read his story in 2Sam 11:27). But the truth is that God is in the business of restoration. All through scriptures, there are records of God's effort to reclaim and to restore those who are eternally His, but who in a moment of weakness disappointed Him. Jonah and David are such examples. Have you disappointed your Maker in one way or the other? He will restore you this season.

Restoration is not only possible, you need to expect and hope for it. But in the scriptures, not all those who missed it or failed were restored. What separated those that were restored from those that were doomed? This shall be my focus today so as to learn from the restored and avoid the pitfall of the doomed.

1. HONESTY. If your relationship with God will be restored this year, you must be honest and straightforward in acknowledging your failures before Him. Sin can never be tamed if it is not named. It cannot be purged if you don't identify it. Don't call fornication dating or bribery tips. Call it what it is before God if you want Him to restore you. You understand your failures with the help of your conscience. Guilt, shame and loss of peace all creep into your heart and remind you of your errors. So, be honest to yourself and accept responsibility. Don't defend your sin when you're questioned by your conscience. God knows you better than yourself. He wants you to honestly come as you are so He can restore you!

However, prayer and fasting facilitates fulfilment of prophecies. We pray and fast prophecies to speedy fulfilment. There are certain oppositions to fulfilment of prophecies that will never surrender except by prayer and fasting. Elijah spoke as he was commanded by God, yet, he did not wait for the prophetic word to be fulfilled, rather, he engaged in prayers for its fulfilment. Prophecies may lie fallow forever if you don't pray them into fulfilment. This is one of the reasons why we're fasting this season. We are not fasting just to be without food; rather, we fast by standing in His Presence and praying our lives into Multiple Celebrations.

PRAYER: Receive grace to maximize this great prophetic season for multiple celebrations, in Jesus name!

Note: Our focus for Day 12 is: Making demand for speedy fulfillment of prophecies in your life this year.

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
