(DAY 3 OF PRAYER AND FASTING)
TEXT: "Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men" (Prov 22:29)
Diligence is a lifestyle you need to embrace if you will see your desires fulfilled this year. God’s plan for your life is so much bigger than what you can imagine. If you will only keep doing your best at what you do, you will attract people and resources that will help you to fulfill God's plan for your life thereby becoming successful in life.
Being successful in career, in business, in calling and life generally requires diligence. Diligence, according to Dictionary means “careful attention or persistent endeavor.” It is the opposite of carelessness, negligence or slothfulness. Diligent people are those who have set their eyes on their goals or assignment and they exert tremendous effort under God to reach them. No shortcuts. Giving up is never an option for them. There is no room for idleness and complacency. This has been the secret behind the consistency of Morning Tea Devotional. This year will make it my 9 years of unbroken focus to this divine mandate. Morning Tea Devotional is never my ambition, it is a mandate handed to me by God on the 6th of July 2013. Diligence will make you stand tall in life.
Whether you are a leader or a subordinate, diligence surely brings great rewards. Diligence brings promotion and prosperity. It is diligence that brings many people from poverty to prosperity. The Bible says: “The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty” (Prov 21:5). Diligence turns dreams to reality, impossibilities to possibilities. God is admonishing us this morning to be diligent in the way we conduct our work and businesses, in fulfilling our calling, and most importantly, in walking with Him. My question to you this morning is: are you giving your best in everything you are doing?
However, prayer and fasting attracts God's unusual grace upon us. What is grace? Grace is the enabling power of God given to man to do or go beyond the natural. It is supernatural accomplishment in man. Grace is God working in you to achieve the unimaginable. We saw this grace at work in the life of our Lord Jesus when He returned from a 40 day-prayer and fasting. His level of command changed. He became a wonder to behold. The Bible in Luke 4:14 says: "And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about." As you engage faithfully and wholeheartedly in this fast, your level of command shall change, in Jesus name.
Note: Our prayer focus today is that God should engrace us for diligence this year.
PRAYER: I pray for you today, you shall explode in the unusual grace of God this year like never before that will culminate in Multiple Celebrations, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
