GOD FEELS WHAT YOU FEEL

TEXT: "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin" (Heb 4:15)

Beloved, I want you to know that God is always with you in your down time, you are not alone in that situation. God is there with you to pull you out of the valley you find yourself right now. He says: "When you pass through fire or water, you shall not be consumed or be burnt" because His Presence is ever with you (Isaiah 43:1-2). And please bear in mind that the Bible says when you 'PASS THROUGH.' This means that no matter the state of things in your life at the moment, you're on a journey; you will pass through.

The severely injured soldier in the hospital intensive care unit always asks question whether or not he will survive his wounds. Maybe that injured soldier is you. As you wait, hoping for relief, your mind is racing with doubts and concerns. You always ask yourself "Will life ever be normal for me again? Will the wounds inflicted upon me ever get healed?" The burdens may press on you, and the cares distresses you but the good news this morning is, the Lord's heart is touched with your grief and He feels what you feel.

I also want you to realise that the God that you and I serve specializes in healing the brokenhearted (Luke 4:18). This is the reason why the Bible says: “Cast thy burdens upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee. He will never suffer the righteous to be moved" (Ps 55:22). Are you righteous? If you are, then never mind your present situation! He knows you are in it and He knows what to do to bring you out. You are not in it alone, the Master is right their with you. He can feel the pains that you feel right now, "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities..." And because the Lord is in it with you, “weeping may endure only for a night, but joy will surely come for you in the morning (Ps 30:5).

Please note that God will only be with those that are His children when they are in unpleasant situation. Salvation is what qualifies you to be His child. Though you go to Church 7 days a week and even hold a position there, if you're yet to surrender your life to Jesus, you are not His child and you're not safe.
