(DAY 4 OF PRAYER AND FASTING)
TEXT: "And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins" (Isaiah 11:5)
Faithfulness always leads one to a celebrated end. So, for celebration to be your experience this year, you must make faithfulness your watchword. But what is faithfulness? It is doing what is required of you with little or no supervision. If you will just keep getting to work on time whether your boss will be there or not, if you will keep doing more than what you have to and be a person of excellence and integrity, then, God will connect you to the right people. The right opportunities will come your way and this will result in your celebration.
However, there are times when what you are expecting will not come according to your timetable. At such times you need prove to God that you will be faithful right where you are. If you’re not faithful in the wilderness, how can God trust you to be faithful in the Promised Land? You must keep a good attitude when you’re not getting what you desire at your own time. You must be your best when you’re not getting any credit for it. Do the right thing when it’s difficult; this is to develop your character. Faithfulness is one of the keys we must use to unlock our multiple celebrations this year. If you will pass these tests, you can be certain that God will get you to where you’re supposed to be. The right people that will activate your celebration are in front of you, the opportunities, the wisdom, the contracts, the houses that will switch your celebration on this year are right before you. God said in Psalm 84:11 "…No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." No good thing will elude you this year in Jesus name.
However, prayer and fasting attracts favour to man. From scripture, we saw how passion drove Nehemiah into prayer and fasting for certain days when he heard of the deplorable state of the Jews that were left behind in Jerusalem after the captivity of Babylon (Neh 1:1-11). He took his life in his hand as it were, by responding roughly to the questions of the king, but instead of being killed, he ended up having favour with the King (Neh 2:1-8).
As Nehemiah obtained favour from the king, he took the lead in rebuilding the broken walls of Jerusalem and in the process, the cup bearer emerged a governor within fifty-two days! (Neh 5:14). That is the realm we are walking in from this fasting season, in Jesus name.
Note: Our prayer focus today is that God should decorate us with unusual favour this year.
PRAYER: You shall emerge a person of favour from this fasting season, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
