TEXT: "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross" (Col 2:14).

If you have watched The Passion of the Christ, towards the end of the film, you see Jesus being nailed to the cross. Mel Gibson played the man who drove one of the nails into the hands of Jesus (played by the actor Jim Carviezel.) When Mel Gibson was asked why he wanted to play that part, he replied, "Because, it was my sin, that put Jesus there, it was my sin that is nailed to the cross."

Jesus took away not one man's sin, but the sins of the whole world. So whose sin was it that put Jesus on the cross? It was your sin and mine, and also the whole world's. When Jesus was on the cross you and I were on His mind. Jesus took away our sin, by nailing it to the cross.

Beloved, we don't need to live in shame, nor condemnation again because of our sin, it has been taken away, hallelujah! Jesus nailed it to the cross! So, it is by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior that we, by faith receive and live in this promise of God.

Read the lyrics of this hymn: "'O' the bliss of this glorious thought, My sin not in part, but the whole, Is nailed to the cross and I bear it no more, Praise the Lord, praise the Lord 'O' my soul."

His arms are open wide to receive you. I hear Him saying "My son/daughter, come back home, this is why I died for you. I died so that you will not die again. I suffered so that you will not. I shed my blood so that you don't have to shed yours". Beloved, this is the beauty of Easter!

PRAYER: The beauty of this season will reflect in your life and destiny in Jesus name.
