DANGER OF DISOBEDIENCE

TEXT: "And said  unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this  voyage will be with hurt and much  damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives" (Acts 27:10).

It is important we point out the danger of not heeding the warnings of God. A lot of people are suffering in life today due to this factor. In today's scripture, the people in the ship with Paul sailed in spite of Paul's warning; this landed them in trouble. Don't ever ignore the warnings of God, it's dangerous. Don't sail when the instruction from God is contrary because it will endanger your life. You shall not fall victim in Jesus name.

The people in today's scripture made three common mistakes we all make from time to time. Let's examine one of them:

(1) Following man's advise at the expense of God's instruction. We often listen to advises from men against God's instructions. Verse 11 of today's scripture says: "Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner  of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul." God had already instructed them through Paul not to sail. But because the "expert" said it was okay, they embarked on the journey and they lost everything. Many are in trouble today because of this same mistake.

The good news is, the mercy of God is available to restore you fully this morning. But beware of experts in our world today. Be careful who you listen to. It is good to seek counsel from men, but don't take the counsels from man at the expense of the instructions from God, it could bring storms into your life that it will take the mercy of God for you to recover. Beware!

PRAYER: This week, God shall restore everything you've lost due to disobedience by His mercy, in Jesus name.
