TEXT: "That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises" (Heb 6:12).

When you follow the steps of those have experienced tough times and overcame, you're on your to obtaining your own victory.

What other steps Abraham took that brought his victory?
(3) HE DID NOT FOCUS ON THE STORM:
Don’t focus on the Storm. When you find yourself in the storm of life, don't focus on it, rather, focus on the solution. When Peter stopped looking at Jesus when he was walking on water and looked at the storm, he started to sink (Matt 14:28-30). Focusing on the storm magnifies it the more, but when you focus on the solution in the midst of that storm, the challenge will eventually disappear.

(4) HE WAS GRATEFUL:
An important step to take when you are face to face with storm is to be thankful. You will be  tempted to forget what is working and focus on what is not working. A thankful and praise-full heart will always overcome storm faster than the fearful and complaints. When you thank God for the things that are working around you, you're building up your faith in God for Him to solve the challenges at hand. A heart of gratitude provokes God’s intervention and perfection (Lk 17:15-19).

(5) HE WAS PATIENT:
“For you have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise” (Heb 10:36). You need to hold on to your faith and patiently walk into your answer. Don’t stagger with unbelief. Be fully persuaded that God will certainly calm the storm and give you victory as He had said.

PRAYER: Receive courage to continue and to hold fast to the end in Jesus name.
