THE TREASURE OF HEAVEN

TEXT: "The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow" (Deut 28:12)

It is a sweet experience to walk under open heaven. No one prays or wishes to see his/her heaven closed. It will interest you to know that open heaven is a state of being in continuous favour with God and man. Why do I say so? When Jesus was baptised, the Bible says that heaven was opened and that He enjoyed favour both with God and man. "Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man" (Lk 3:21; 2:52). Also, open heaven is a state where we have whatever we need at the time we need it. This was also the experience of our Lord Jesus when He was on earth. He had what He needed at the time He needed it. It is not only about having things in abundance when you have open heaven but it's having them at the time you need them. That is the realm God is taking us to from now, in Jesus name. 

One of the blessings you enjoy when your heaven is opened is that you will have access into the treasure room of heaven. The treasures in heaven are at your command when the heaven over you is wide opened. When you have access to the treasure room of heaven, that is when you will have all your needs met.

How do we access the treasures of heaven?

To access the treasures of heaven, we must have faith. The reason is because everything in the kingdom works by faith. So, for you to unlock heaven’s treasures, you must first believe that they exist and that God will release the resources you need into your hand and this you must prove with your words and action. 

Secondly, as mentioned last week, if you will access the treasures of heaven, you must be a tither and a giver. In Malachi 3:10, God instructs us to bring all our tithes into the store house. He says He will open the windows of heaven when we do this. The truth is that there is a direct connection between paying our tithes and always having the resources we need. Also, when we give offerings with a cheerful heart, we determine the measure of harvest that we receive from our financial seed sown (Luke 6:38). 

Thirdly, all of heaven’s treasures will answer to our call. We must open our mouths and call in the things we need. It is not until we begin to declare what the Word of God has said that we activate the promises. As we call forth the money, resources, and provision we need to take care of every need we may have, we will begin to see some miraculous things happen. No matter what it may look like, God is always on time. Never stop speaking the Word of God because it always yields results when spoken in faith.

PRAYER: I agree with you this morning that whatever you call on God for today shall be released as testimonies for you, in Jesus name.
