TEXT: "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver" (2Cor 9:7)

Beloved, I'm sure God has ministered to you for the past three days on how to keep our heaven open. I pray that the grace to be doers of what is taught be released on all of us in Jesus name.

Haven known that giving and tithing are keys that keep our heaven open, there is need for us to look at how these givings should be done. This is because, not all givings guarantee returns. If you want your giving and tithing to keep your heaven open, then:

(4) GIVE CHEERFULLY
Whatever that is not done cheerfully in the kingdom of God has no reward. Let your giving and tithing be motivated by love demonstrated in excitement. Cheerfully give your offering and tithe to God so as to receive the blessings they carry. When you give without love, you can be tempted to give grudgingly because your attitude will be determined by the situation around you at the time of your giving. But when your giving is motivated by love, you give with excitement. Love is all about sharing with one another. You can't expect God to continue to give to you without you giving to Him what He asks for.

The word translated “cheerful" in today's anchor scripture is the Greek word "hilaros" and it means gladness or joyous. It also means a sense of readiness. It means to be ready to act at a moment’s notice, it means to be prepared. With today’s economy, it can be difficult for even the most faithful to give to God and His work cheerfully, either joyously or readily without love. There are some things you can do, however, that might help change your attitude. What is that? Always remember that your resources came from God in the first place. James said: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights …” (James 1:17). Every blessing we have, including money, is from God. With this mindset, you will not grumble when asked to give.

Tithing and giving are expressions of gratitude for all the blessings being received from God. Not to give or not to tithe is to be ungrateful. It is not enough to say with your mouth, “I am grateful Lord for what you are doing." He wants you to show it. How would you like a man or woman telling you he or she loves you without proofs. Giving is a proof of love (John 3:16). When you don't tithe and give, you are demonstrating to God that you don't love Him.

In conclusion, don't ever think that your tithe or giving is too much. If you think so, you are simply telling God to cut down your income. Don't think that without your tithes the work of God will not go on. Maintain clean thoughts as far as giving is concerned. Give your offering and pay your tithe willingly, excitedly and cheerfully, for God loves a cheerful giver.

PRAYER: Grace to be a delighted giver and tither so as to enjoy continuous open heaven is resting on you today, in Jesus name.

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
