TEXT: "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success" (Joshua 1:8)

It is God's wish to keep the heaven over us open. When the heaven over you is opened, God rains down ideas, wisdom, favour, blessings, power for accomplishment and power to create wealth. As you know, the purpose of rain is for fruitfulness, this means that open heaven guarantees fruitfulness in all of our life endeavors. However, there are things to guard against to avoid closed heaven. To keep the heaven over you open, you need to consider carefully some key points. We shall examine one of these points today.

1:AVOID SHORTCUT:

Any short cut to success or to any endeavour in life always cuts the life, the joy, the celebration of a man short. 

The Bible says:

"Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. ‘All this I will give you;’ he said, ‘if you will bow down and worship me.' Jesus said to him, 'Away from me Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only'" (Matt. 4:8-10 - NIV).

Satan was telling Jesus in essence that there was no need for Jesus to take the road that God has chosen for Him. He was saying something like this: "The journey is too long and the suffering will be too much for you, but don't worry, I have come to offer you a short cut, just bow and worship me.” Jesus knew his tricks, and rejected his offer. You must be sensitive, bold and courageous enough to reject what the devil offers you. Avoid all illegal and dubious means of making money. Avoid short cuts to making wealth. It will eventually cut your life short if you don't, God forbid.

Success is the fruit of diligent application of the word of God. The Bible says: "The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want. The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death" (Prov. 21:5-6). Successful application of the word of God leads to success in life. Be patient as you pursue success and wealth remembering "the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day" (Deut 8:18).

PRAYER: Your life shall not be cut short by the devil. You shall fulfil your days, in Jesus name. 

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
