TEXT: "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success" (Joshua 1:8)

One of the benefits of open heaven is success, not just success but good success. Failure is inevitable for a man whose heaven is closed. Success is not a function of hardwork alone. Having First Class in the university doesn't guarantee good success either. Good success doesn't come by manipulating people and it is not a function of who you know. Success is primarily a result of open heaven over one, the aforementioned factors are secondary.

Why did I say this? Hard work under closed heaven will result in hard life. Manipulation in order to succeed in life will only amputate your destiny. Connection under closed heaven will disconnect your destiny. So, I submit to you today that success is primarily a product of open heaven.

How do you attract success under open heaven?

According to today's anchor scripture, success can be attracted via meditation. To meditate is to ponder, to regurgitate, to think on something over and over again, it is to reason with the word of God with the help of the Holy Ghost. Don't study the word of God only without pondering over what you studied so as to draw out what to do to have good success.

Also David pointed out in Psalms chapter one that a Christian who meditates day and night on the word of God shall be like a tree that is planted by the rivers of water. In other words, meditation leads to depth and stability. A tree that grows on the river bank enjoys a constant supply of water, even in dry seasons. Similarly, a Christian that meditates on the word of God day and night enjoys spiritual nourishment that can equip him/her to handle anything that comes along the way.

A Christian who meditates on the word of God grows deeper in the word which gives him/her stability in life. The Psalmist says the tree that is planted by the river will yield its fruits in season and his leaves will not wither. That speaks of stability, that even in times of economic downturns, you will still enjoy stability. You will be stable economically, emotionally, maritally, in your ministry, in your career, in your business, etc. You will be an evergreen tree!

Meditating on the word of God gives you a chance to draw from the wisdom of God and as Isaiah puts it, the wisdom and the knowledge you acquire from scripture will give you depth and stability in your days. "And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure" (Isaiah 33:6).

PRAYER: All round stability is your portion from today, in Jesus name. 

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
