TEXT: "A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men" (Prov 18:16)

God is interested in us making profit in life as His sons and daughters. He is committed to teaching our hands to profit as stated in the anchor scripture for the month (Isaiah 48:17). But as we pointed out yesterday, it is important that we understand what constitutes profit and how to enjoy it in all areas of our existence. We should therefore be ready to follow to the letter the required steps that lead a man to profit in his journey in life.

As a reminder, we pointed out yesterday that if you will enjoy profit in life, the first step is that you know your purpose for living. This divine purpose is called divine assignment or destiny. It is in our destiny or divine assignment that our profit in life is guaranteed.

(2) IDENTIFY YOUR GIFTS

Your gifts here connote your talents or skills. Your gifts, talents or skills are the tools for delivering your purpose. When you know your purpose in life, you don’t have to look too far to identify the talents you need to realize that purpose. The talents may be unrefined and it will require that you work on them but the fact is that they are there. All you need do is to search them out and work on them.

When you start making use of your talents, you find yourself making progress and that's what profit is all about. When you start trading your gifts, talents or skills, over time, people begin to reckon with you. Great people don't just wake up someday and become great, they discover something they can do and then put it to work with lots of practice. Don Moen for instance discovered his talent/gift as a singer, he developed it by learning music and with much time spent practicing his ability brought him into the limelight. Your gift will bring you to limelight, in Jesus name.

Have you ever thought that you could do something better than others out there but you buried your talent because you thought you didn't have enough time or material to achieve your dream? Or maybe you felt you were not from a rich family. Hear me: Most great people today didn't come from good homes either but they never let their situation determine their faith, they dug deep within and with that inner strength from prayer they made profits out of life. 

What is that thing you know you are good at which the Church, your nation or the people around you can benefit from? That is your talent that will pave way to your profit in life. Ask a close friend or better still, go on your knees and ask God. This is what makes one to enjoy profit in life!

PRAYER: Your gift/talent will bring you before great men this year, in Jesus name. 

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
