TEXT: "Then you will again see the difference between righteous people and wicked people, between the one who serves God and the one who doesn't serve him" (Mal 3:18 - GWT).
Be reminded that this month of March, in the Morning Tea Devotional Family, is our month of All Round Profits. I discovered from scripture that a decision to serve God with all our heart, soul and body is the secret to all round profits in life. Concerning the people of Judah, the Bible says:
"And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. And they sware unto the Lord with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets. And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the Lord gave them rest round about" (2Chro 15:12-15). Hallelujah! As a result of their covenant to serve God, there was no more war (2Chro 15:19).
Service to God is ordained for profitability. The Bible says: "In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury (Pro 14:23). The meaning is that no one ever loses pursuing God and the interest of His Kingdom. When we pursue God and the interest of His Kingdom with our heart, we are sure to enjoy unmatchable benefits both here and hereafter.
Many people today believe they are serving God but seem not to be getting any rewards for their service. The truth is that acceptable service unto God always attracts rewards from God. God owes no man but handsomely rewards anyone who qualifies for it (Heb 11:6). If you serve God, your reward is sure. Service to God is partnering with God. Not every service is acceptable by God, only acceptable service is rewarded by God. This is why we must pay close attention to what makes our service to God acceptable.
Let's examine another ingredient of acceptable service.
3. SERVE GOD CONTINUALLY.
Hear me child of God, what matters in your service to God is its continuity. No matter what you are doing for the Kingdom of God today if you fail to continue till the end, all your services and sacrifices will be in vain and amount to nothing. But that won't be you in Jesus name. God does not look at your past but on your present, so it is the present that determines what you will get from Him. I pray for you reading this message today that God will give you grace to continue to serve Him in a perfect way all the days of your life. "Remember Lot’s wife" (Lk 17:32) and what happened to her when she lost focus on where she was going. Don't lose focus in what you're doing for the kingdom, keep doing what you know to do best, your compensation shall be full.
Acceptable service guarantees our distinction. Do you want to be distinguished in life? Serve God wholeheartedly. You will be different among your equals. Your business, career, ministry, family, will stand out by reason of your service to God. The Bible says: "Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not" (Mal 3:18 KJV).
PRAYER: What affect others around you negatively shall not come near you, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
