DIVIDEND OF SERVING GOD - Pt 4

TEXT: "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Phil 1:21)

Good morning precious child of God. I want you to know this morning that nothing in this world is as profitable as living for and serving God with all we are and with all we have, it pays both in this life and in that which is to come (1Tim 4:8). My dear reader, always delight yourself in serving God. That is, be excited to live for Him. Also know that serving God demands that you do things right even when you find yourself in the midst of people who do things wrong. Irrespective of the adversity, trials and persecutions you may face in life, always do what is right and God will vindicate you and bring you out in due season.

The Bible says: "Fret not yourself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shall be fed. Delight yourself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart" (Ps 37:1-4).

Some people today are leaving their lives without the consciousness that there is God. They live carelessly, do things recklessly. They think they can make it without God. What they don't know is that "Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain." Live your life for God and all that troubles you will disappear one after the other!

However, serving God acceptably demands certain factors. One key factor that we shall examine today is:

4. SERVE GOD WILLINGLY

King David was admonishing Solomon his son said: "And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever" (1 Chro 28:9). Willingness in service is the requirement if we will see returns of God's blessing for our service. 

Never ever allow God to notice reluctance in your service. Never allow God to notice the dragging of the feet in the things you are doing for God. With God, actions are weighed. Never require external motivation to do what is right for God. God is watching the way and manner you do things for Him. You did it, but you grumbled over it, you’ve wasted your service. Let the devil know that nobody is begging or putting you under pressure to serve God.

The dividend of serving God is that we give Him access to our lives when we serving Him acceptably. And when that happens, God will take care of all our needs according to His glorious riches (Phil 4:19). He will fully satisfy every need you have. We don't have to struggle in life because God has already catered for all our needs. But we cannot enjoy those blessings if we are not willing to live according to His commandments. One of those commandments is serving Him. 

PRAYER: Grace to live for God and to serve Him to the point of rewards is released on you today, in Jesus name.

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
