TEXT: "And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar" (1Kings 3:4)
Happy new week. This week, your hidden blessing shall manifest for all to see, in Jesus name.
The remaining days of this month, our focus shall be on how to attract the blessing of God. From scriptures we find a principle that shows us that to make the greatest gains/profits either spiritually or physically, we must be willing to sacrifice things to God in the physical. These 'things' may include our possessions, our time, our money, our convenience, our comforts and relationships that take the high place that God must hold in our lives. Every Christian should be willing to sacrifice everything for God and for His kingdom. However, often times we look at what we stand to lose rather than what we have to gain. The Bible says:
"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us" (Rom 8:18).
In today's anchor scripture, it was recorded that God blessed Solomon with wisdom and wealth because he made a sacrifice of a thousand burnt offerings to God, the kind that had never been done before him. God gave him a blank cheque to fill. "In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee" (1Kings 3:5). The understanding is that sacrifice is what attract blessing to our lives. One thing I know is that whenever you make a sacrifice toward God’s work, it always attracts the attention of God who in turn appreciates your good work with a blessing even more than the measure of your sacrifice (See Lk 6:38).
As the above scripture puts it in verse 5, God appeared to Solomon and asked him to present his desires. What a blessing for the Owner of heaven and earth, to ask you to present your desire. Solomon was blessed with wisdom, riches and honour far above what he asked for. That is what sacrifice can do, it attracts more than what you requested. I see God releasing to you a far more than what you requested for this week, in Jesus name.
I like you to know that a place of sacrifice is a meeting point between God and man. God has not changed and He will not change this principles. When you make sacrifices to God and for His kingdom, He will ensure your desires and more are granted. God gave Solomon the wisdom he asked for and riches, wealth and peaceful reign he never asked for. Give something sacrificially towards the work of God today and you will attract God's blessings to yourself in a way you never bargained for.
Noah built an altar and made a sacrifice. The odour of the sacrifice pleased the Lord, and God said, "Never again will I curse the ground." (Gen 8:20-21). By one man's sacrifice, the curse placed on man by God was removed by God Himself. By your sacrifices this week, every curse working against you shall be terminated by the blessing of the Lord, in Jesus name.
PRAYER: A blessing that will beat your imagination, the one that is beyond your expectation, shall locate you this week, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
