TEXT: "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" (Mark 11:24)
Welcome to a week of Answered Prayers. The fourth covenant step to receiving answers to prayer is Faith. The Bible says: "He that comes to God (in Prayer) must believe that He is - able and willing - and that He is rewarder of them that diligently seek Him" (Heb 11:6).
We discover also that faith is the master key for taking the delivery of our answers. "Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believe" (Mark 9:23). James said: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God…But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man think that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways” (Jam 1:5-8). The reason why you don't receive answers in prayer is because you're double minded. When God gives a promise, rely on the fact that He will always do what He has promised.
Faith is a display of confidence in God and his word until the desired result is obtained (Heb 10:35). When God told Abraham he would have a son in his old age, “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully persuaded that what He had promised He was also able to perform” (Rom 4:20-21). If you truly want God to answer your prayers, you must have a deep faith first, in His unlimited power to answer your prayers.
PRAYER: I pray for you this morning that all that you ask God for in prayer this week shall be answered, in Jesus name.
