TEXT: And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint (Luke 18:1)
There is lack of consistency in the lives of many believers today, especially in prayer. So many of us want our prayers to be answered instantly, but what we don't understand is that for us to enjoy instant and continuous answers to our prayers, it requires our consistency. Instant answers to prayer is not about praying once, you must pray once and again and again...
Apostle Paul said we should Pray without ceasing (1Thess 5:17). Prayer requires our discipline and consistency and not once in a while thing. Unfortunately, many get discouraged along the way and lessen their prayers. But if you want to get to a realm where you will always see results when you pray, you must not stop praying. The Bible has this to say about Jesus: “Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God” (Luke 6:12). People that pray with instant answers always didn't get there overnight. They maintained consistency.
Many people don’t maintain a consistent prayer life because to them, they don't have time. They are always in a hurry. Challenges don’t solve themselves beloved. Mama Faith Oyedepo said: "Every tough nut requires consistent hard knocks to break." That embarrassing situation in your life can turn to a testimony if you will not give up praying. That you didn’t get instant answers to your prayers does not mean God has not heard you. God makes all things beautiful in his time (Eccl 3:11). Don’t give up in prayer! Be consistent and you will find your life gradually taking a new shape.
Maybe your situation is like that of Lazarus in the Bible, already dead and stinking. As you consistently talk to God about it, it will be revived beyond your wildest imagination. Don’t let anybody deceive you to tell you that you're wasting your time praying. Don't let anyone lure you off to native doctors and all manner of satanic places only to add more to your problems. Jesus said: No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (Matt 6:24). You will not fail in prayer, in Jesus name.
PRAYER: Your earnest expectations and desires this season shall be released this week, in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS FOR THIS SEASON: The Lord shall crown this year with favour for you, in Jesus name.
