TEXT: "Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting" (Matt 17:21)

What a week of answered prayer God has brought us to? You and I shall harvest answers to our prayers this week, in Jesus name. 

Our focus since the beginning of the month is on how our prayers can be answered without delay. God does not intend to delay the answers of His children when they pray. There's no store room for prayers in heaven. This is why the Holy Spirit has been revealing to us the covenant steps that command speedy answers to prayers.

One of these covenant steps is "Fasting." Jesus in today's anchor scripture said that there are situations we will face in life that will require only fasting to bow. This is because, when we fast, there are spiritual benefits that help us to confront any situation and overcome them.

These spiritual benefits includes:

1. Outburst Of Revelation (Isaiah 58:6-8). One revelation from heaven is enough to put that devil off your back. You are still struggling with that issue because you lack what to do. Fasting gives you access into realm of what to do to overcome it. I encourage you to set some days aside before the year is over to fast and to deal with that stubborn situation you're facing right now.

2. Fasting Confers Power On You. Jesus went into prayer and fasting for forty days and forty nights (Lk 4:1-2). There was a record that He returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee and His destiny opened up (Lk 4:14-22). If you have put to work the steps discussed so far and yet nothing happens, set some days aside for fasting. You have eaten enough. Two/three days of fasting for your story to change will not kill you, it will rather confer on you the authority required to check the devil out of your life. This kind doesn't respond to prayer only, fasting is required also!

PRAYER: Your story is changing, in Jesus name.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS FOR THE SEASON: You will not end this year empty, in Jesus name.
