1Kings 18:41-42 "And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth..."
Looking at the scenario in our anchor scripture for the month, we understand that
behind every divine intervention is faith. Faith is a determining factor for God’s intervention in our lives. The Bible says: "..but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it (Heb 4:2).
You must understand that for you to experience the downpour of rain, your faith must be alive. God was determined to send rain to end the three and half years of drought in the days of Ahab but man needed to hear and respond to God for that to happen. So, God spoke to Elijah and he spoke to the king. Their response was what moved God into action. Your faith is ineffective without the appropriate actions.
I want you to know that it is not enough to receive the Word, you must go further to believe the Word so as to commit God's integrity to perform. You're empowered to become what you believe (John 1:12).
What then is faith? Faith is believing what God says with corresponding actions. For faith to be faith there must be actions to prove. God through Elijah spoke to king Ahab and Ahab took steps to prove that he believed.
If you believe that you are healed, prove it. If you believe that your desired job or promotion is released, let your actions show it. Faith is fake without corresponding actions to back it up. That is what both Elijah and Ahab did. Go and do likewise.
PRAYER: Your actions will not abort your miracles any longer, in Jesus name.
