TOPIC: SUSTAINING EXCEEDING FAVOUR

Acts 3:8 "And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God."

It is not enough to attract favour from God and men, the key thing is how to sustain it?

By that I mean, what does it take to operate under perpetual divine favour? When you know what to do and you are doing it, you will long enjoy His favour. Joseph is one biblical example that operated under continuous favour of God. Let's study his life in Egypt:

(1) Be faithful: In Proverbs 28:20 the Bible says: “A faithful man shall abound with blessings; but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent." Joseph faithfulness made him to enjoy continuous favour. He said “How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God? (Gen 39:9). A man who is faithful will not forget God when his favour shows up. He will not forget the place of worship. It is wisdom to keep doing what you did to get the favour of God in order to sustain it.

(2) Be connected: The Bible says: “And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved” (Hos 12:13). After God blessed Joseph in a strange land, He did not forget his root. A branch that is cut off from a tree will die a natural death. When God blesses you don’t forget your root. To all who has supported this vision, receive your rewards now in Jesus name.

(3) Forgive: Joseph said 'And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance' (Gen 45:7). Despite all that Joseph's brother's did to him, when he had opportunity to revenge, he did not. No wonder he enjoyed God's favour. Go and do likewise!

PRAYER: You shall long enjoy divine favour, in Jesus name.
