Psalms 5:12 "For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield."

Welcome to another week of Exceeding Favour. Today's achor scripture means you and I are going to be clothed with favour this month and beyond, in Jesus name! When God favours a man,

labour ceases. Labour only continues where favour is absent. The favour of God upon you this week will eliminate hard labour from your life permanently, in Jesus name. 

However, what are the determinants for this favour? By that I mean what the factors that provoke exceeding favour or forces that make exceeding favour available?

(1) GODLINESS:

One of the factors that attract the favour of God is godliness. That is, having a godly lifestyle. It is a God-centered life. God only sorrounds the godly with favour, not the ungodly. All men that were favoured in the Bible like Joseph, Job, and Daniel were men with godly lifestyle. Joseph for instance said, Shall I do this great wickedness and sin against God? (Gen 39:9). No wonder he enjoyed favour!

(2) HONOUR:

There are three major areas of authority that demand our consistent honour. They are: Government (Nation), The Church (Spiritual) and the family (Parental). The purpose of authority is to guide. Blessing doesn’t flow up, it flows down. It goes from Abraham to Isaac to Jacob. The Bible says the greater blesses the lesser (Heb 7:7). This is why you need to honour those in authority. It baffles me when I heard people insulting their leaders, the government of the day and even men of God (we shall mention that tomorrow). To enjoy God's favour beloved, honour those that God has placed over you.

PRAYER: You shall be set apart for favour this week, in Jesus name.
