LOVE FOR GOD AND FAVOUR OF GOD

Ephe 6:24 "Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen."

Let me start by saying that favour is more potent than labour.

There is a limit to where labour can take you but not with the favour of God. It

is potent enough to open impossible doors. It has the capacity to change rules, regulations, policies and even bring down

governments, if necessary, to get you through a divine door. Read the story of Joseph who became a Prime Minister in a foreign country that was not his (Gen 39-45). The favour of God can turn every adversity

in your life into a victory. These and more will happen in our lives this month. 

However, what positions us for this kind of favour is our love for God. Apostle Paul said: "Grace (favour) be with all them that love our

Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity." Grace is the unmerited, unearned, favour of God. So, when you

see the word "grace" you could interchange it with the word

"favour." Exceeding grace that Apostle Paul mentioned in 2Cor 9:14 means Exceeding favour. In today's text, apostle Paul was saying, "For everyone who loves

God and is sincere about it, will experience favour." So, the key word here is love. 

Beloved, how sure are you of your love for God? Many claim to love God but their words and actions say otherwise. You can easily tell those who truly love God. The scripture says in Matt 7:20: “by their fruits you shall know them.” There are signs that show that one truly loves God. Love is a platform that guarantees the flow of favour. It is therefore important that we look at the proofs of our love for God. This we shall do from tomorrow. Don't miss it!

PRAYER: Be imparted with the spirit of love for unwavering service to God, in Jesus name.
