Psalms 102:13 "Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come."
Let's continue with forces that attract God's favour. We mentioned two yesterday, we shall continue with the third one today.
(3) USE YOUR GIFTS:
God is committed to blessing us with favour when we put our gifts and talents to use. You can't struggle when you use your gift or skill. Some are skillful in football, craft, sports, speech, etc. You know the area you're gifted. Put it to work. The parable Jesus spoke about in Mathew 25:14-28 teaches a big lesson on this. If you don’t use your talents, it will be taken away. Favour comes when you put your gift or skill to work. A good example is David. He was gifted in playing the musical instrument. Because of this, he was introduced to King Saul. His talent on the sling also got Israel victory over Goliath. Whatever gift God has given you, use it and favour will follow you.
(4) RESPECT GOD'S SERVANTS:
To enjoy God's favour you must respect His servants. Many believers have failed here greatly. They have remained stagnated because they are so familiar with the servants of God around them. They get used to them and fail to respect them. The Bible says in 2Kings 2:23-25 that some children laughed at prophet Elisha and two she bears came out of the woods and ate them. What about Korah, Dathan and Abiram in Numbers 16:19-40? They were swallowed by the earth with their families, because they gathered against Moses and Aaron because of over familiarity.
No matter how uneducated, short, tall, young or ignorant your spiritual leader may appear to you, respect them, that's where your favour is.
PRAYER: Your favour shall not be denied this month, in Jesus name.
