THE FORCE OF PRAYER AND FASTING

TOPIC: THE FORCE OF PRAYER AND FASTING

Mark 9:29 "And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting."

There are certain forces we must put to work to see answers. One of such forces is
"the force of Prayer and fasting."

Prayer and fasting is the force through which certain kinds of afflictions in life give way. Jesus said in Matt 17:21 "Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting." Remember that your fasting is not to change God but to empower you to take command of things and negative situations of your life.

This is the reason behind today's prayer and fasting in MTD Family. As we engage the altar of prayer and fasting, note that it is not just enough to fast, but what we do when we fast is more important than the length of the fast itself. So, there's need for us to understand how to engage profitably to avoid engaging in mere religious hunger strike.

To engage profitably, we must prepare in the word as we approach the prayer altar. The throne of grace is the courtroom of heaven where we produce our cause in prayers. "Produce your cause, saith the Lord; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob" (Is 41:21). The stronger our reasons, the more assurance we have for answered prayers.

What should we expect as we fast and pray today?
1: Expect to be empowered to dominate issues of life (Is 58:6).
2: Expect to be empowered for fulfillment of prophecy ( 1Tim 1:18). Prophetic words are fulfilled when you war with them on the altar of prayer and fasting.

You shall have encounters that will change your life forever. Open your mind to the Holy Spirit, He will reveal things and show you the way to go.

Prayer points shall be sent at 6am, 12noon and 3pm to keep us engaged.

PRAYER: Grace is released in Jesus name.
