1Kings 19:3 "And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beer-sheba, which belongeth to Judah, AND LEFT HIS SERVANT THERE."
I felt that we should still examine the story of Elijah in this chapter. It's going to be a follow up of what Pst Mrs Olorunfemi shared with us yesterday. There is an important key I want us to see as one of the secrets to answered prayer. Today's text said
that Elijah got to Beer-sheba and he left his servant there. While studying this chapter, the word "He left his servant there" caught my attention and that's what I want to share today.

There are some things in our lives that deprive God from answering us and until they are dealt with, answers will not come. Heb 12:1 says: "Lay aside every weight...and run with patience the race that is set before us." You can't carry weight and expect God to step in. Lay it aside and you'll see God.
Somebody you are reading this today, the only reason why God has not answered you is because of that ungodly relationship you have not left. That unforgiveness, hatred, sinful habit, envy, drunkenness, and the likes, is the reason why God cannot provide answer to your prayer. The people you associate with or those you call your friends could be the hindrance.
Beloved, you must let go to let God.
Elijah left his servant behind and the needed answers came. There are several other examples in the Bible. For instance, Abraham left his servants behind before getting to the place of sacrifice (Gen 22:5). You remember also Jacob was left alone and the angel showed up (Gen 32:24-28). Don't let that friendship, relationship, attitude, habit, etc, keep you down. Leave them behind and God will show up.
PRAYER: Receive grace to let go of what is hindering your miracle in Jesus name.
