1Kings 19:9 "And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?"
Every greatness in the kingdom is wrapped up in mysteries. What are mysteries? Mysteries are divine secrets hidden in scriptures. Unravel these secrets and you shall
become a commander. Another secret to answered prayers is what I call "Sensitivity to the voice of God." The scripture says: And the word of the Lord came to him, and said unto him..."
God always answers prayers with His voice. It is your sensitivity to His voice from scriptures, from anointed books or messages that determines speedy answers to your prayers. As you approach God in prayer, be on the lookout for His voice. He always answers when you are studying His word, reading anointed books or listening to anointed messages from the altar or through daily devotional like MTD.
So, be diligent to study the word of God/Bible while praying, it contains the answers you need.
The second part of today's text speaks of God questioning Elijah of his environment. The word of the Lord came to him, and said unto him, "What doest thou here, Elijah?" God was saying in essence, "Elijah, where you are I can't answer you."
The environment you create determines the answers you get from God. Elijah lodged in a cave when he ought to have been on the move. God didn't answer him until he left that place. Beloved, which environment have you created for yourself?
When you lodge an environment of unbelief, anxiety, doubts, selfishness, wrong association, sinful relationship or habit, sadness, complain and murmur, you become unreachable to God. Come-on! Rise up from that cave and be on the move. He wants to speak to you.
PRAYER: You will hear Him today in Jesus name.
