SECRET TO ANSWERED PRAYERS - PT 4

Philippians 3:13 "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before."

God always answers prayers by His voice. But the challenge has always been our inability to hear what He's saying. It's not about how loud God speaks beloved, but how well we listen. You can't hear God when
you are full of your past. Apostle Paul said: "This one thing I do....forgetting those things which are past.."

Many are held down by their pasts. The devil brings up your past failures, embarrassments, hurts, disappointment, pains, to becloud your mind so as to hinder you from hearing what God is saying in the present.

Forget the past and your testimony will come to pass. Forget the past and the challenges that come your way will pass. Let the past pass.

To forget means: "To refuse to focus on." We have been so carried away by our failures and hurts or even our successes that we hardly hear when God speaks. You can't hear God when all that occupies your heart is your past. Troubling memories from the past make it hard to live in the present. Let the past be past and open your spirit to receive the next instruction on the altar of prayer. Don’t let the devil remind you of your failures. Focus on the promises of God for you.

Have you lost confidence today because of your yesterday's failure, pains, disappointments, struggles or insults that still haunt you? If so, I encourage you to follow Paul’s advice and forget about them, and be attentive to instructions from God that will move you forward.
