LUKE 4:1, 14-22; ACTS 1:8.
Fulfillment
of divine purpose is not a function strength, hard work, skills, experience,
connection, though they are good, but it is basically the function of the
anointing. Joseph in Egypt was a slave. He had no experience, no skill, no
connection, no educational background. Yet he succeeded in a difficult
situation. One thing is common in his story “AND GOD WAS WITH JOSEPH……” Gen 39:1-2.
God gave an
assignment to Zerubbabel to build His
house, He added
“….not by power, nor by
might, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of host. Zech.4:6. The anointing Is the empowerment of the Spirit to do the
extra-ordinary. The anointing of the Spirit upon a man gives him an edge above
others. The Bible refers this anointing as “the
GIFT of the Spirit” Acts 2:38.
The benefits
of the anointing of the Spirit upon a man cannot be underemphasizing. These
include:
·
He
teaches you all things. – 1John 2:27.
·
He
prevents you from perishing because He gives you knowledge as He will teach you
all things. – Hosea 4:6.
·
The
anointing announces the carrier. E.g. The apostle in the upper room. – Prov.18:16;
Acts 2.
·
The
anointing will teach you the way out of every situation. He knows what to do. E.g.
The feeding of 5000 men in the wilderness.
·
The
anointing protects the anointed, making him/her sacred. And the Bible says:
Touch not my anointed….. Prov.105:8-15.
·
God
fights for His anointed. E.g. Moses in the wilderness. – Num. 12.
·
The
anointing is a burden lifter. – Isaiah 10:27.
We can
continue on and on. We cannot exhaust the benefits of been anointed by the Holy
Ghost. It is my prayer that as you are reading this today, the Holy Ghost will
empower you for the task ahead of you in Jesus Name. Jesus depended on the
anointing of the Holy Ghost to succeed. You also need Him to succeed. Receive that
empowerment to succeed this month in Jesus Name. AMEN. To be continued.
Amen
