FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS 2

Gen. 39:1-6; Eccl. 9:11; Psalms 3:11.

The journey to success in life also begins with the right understanding of what success is. Many have the wrong definition of success. Purse and ask yourself this question “What do I understand by the word Success?” If you are sincere to yourself you will discover that
most of us don’t really understand what Success is. But we shall be looking at the Scripture to know the right definition of it.
God’s definition of Success is quite different from the world’s definition of it. World’s definition of Success is based on “what you have, what you have done/accomplished or what you have accumulated” But from Gen. 39:1-6 above, it’s clear that Success is not in “what you have but who you have”.
Joseph literally had nothing and yet had everything to change the then civilized world (Egypt). Joseph seemingly had nothing. No educational background, no brother/sister, no connection, he had no job, he was a slave, no friend, no nothing and yet the Bible says “And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a Successful man” (emphasis mine.) (Gen. 39:2). The Bible called him successful because “The LORD was with him”.
The raw materials used in laying a foundation determine the durability of the building that will be put on it. What are the raw materials you will need to lay a solid foundation for your desired success?
·        YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD – Gen. 39:2; John 15:1-6.
Your relationship with God determines your success in life. How cordial is your relationship with God? Is your service to God based on your convenience? Do all within your reach to keep God with you. With Him on your side your success is guaranteed. To have a cordial relationship with God is to keep practicing His presence. The best time to thank God for been there is when you don’t feel His presence. When it comes to practicing His presence, don’t go by feeling. It can be deceptive. Feelings are not truth-based but the word of God is. Whatever you are doing, wherever you are, Jesus is with you and He want to make you a success. Say this confession to yourself now “THE LORD IS WITH (Put your name) AND I AM SUCCESSFUL. Your success will manifest to all in Jesus Name. To be continued in part 3
