Psalms 11:3; John 13:17.
The journey
to success in life begins with the right foundation. If the foundation is not
properly laid, the building collapsed. The problem most of us face today that
makes success seems impossible is because the foundation for it is not properly
laid. The strength of any building is determined by its foundation. So also the
strength of any success is determined by its foundation. No building is
considered great if it has no foundation. Matt.
7:24-27.
You will be
glad to hear this. Success in life is not only when you have money to meet your
needs. Success covers all areas of our life. Success is not success until it is
Spiritual, Financial, and Physical. 3
John 2. Success is possible to attain if only we know ‘what have been done for us rather than what we
can do for ourselves’. Have you taken time to check the life of the Israelites? They were
succeeding before the introduction of Laws, because before Laws came they lived
by Grace (covenant of God with Abraham). The reason why we pray, fast, give with
little result is because the foundation of what we are praying or giving for is
not laid on Christ (Grace) but on Self (Work). Let’s look at the right
foundation to be laid.
·
KNOWLEDGE – John 13: 17. Success in life is a product of knowledge.
It is not the knowledge of you can do but of what has been done by Christ.
Success begins in your life the day you know what Christ has accomplished for
you. Success is not a product of dos and don’ts; it is basically a product of
your faith in Christ Jesus. It is not a product of work but of faith. For
further study check the following: Rom.
4:18-22; Dan. 11:32; Hosea 4:6.
·
MEDITATION – Joshua 1:8; Psalms
1:1-3. This book of
the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you must meditate on it Day and Night. To meditate means to
regurgitate. It is to bring back to mind what you have read, heard as regard
success. We are admonished to think about it always (Phil. 4:8)The reason is
because you cannot be bigger than your thought. Let the word of God concerning
success dwells in your heart richly through meditation. (Col. 3:16). In
building an edifice of success, meditation is one of the raw materials for
foundation.
·
PRACTICE THE WORD – John
13:17; Joshua 1:8. Knowledge is waste if not applied. James 1:22-25 begins
with “but be ye doers of the word..,” The strength or authenticity of any
knowledge is in practice. Knowledge cannot produce power if not applied. Peter
acted on the word of Christ ‘Come’ and he succeeded until he doubted his
success. The widow of Zarephath acted on the word of Elijah and she survived
the famine. (1Kings 17). To be continued. Don’t forget to live your comments,
contributions and questions.
I have gone through life's experiences and have come to the conclusion that "it is not of works, lest any man should boast, for the battle for success is of the LORD. Always remember, "it is not of him that will, but of GOD that shows mercy"
