FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS(Conclusion)

Gen. 39:1-6; Prov. 11:3; Eccl. 9:11.

We want to bring this subject matter into a close today. We have been able to establish the fact that success is not in what you have or what you have achieved, but success is in whom you have. The durability and strength of any building is determined by its foundation. Better still, the strength of any foundation is also determined by the materials used. The raw materials needed to lay a solid and long-lasting success has been our focus for the past few days and we shall be looking at the concluding part of the lesson.

So far, the raw materials discussed are: Your relationship with God, developing a reading habit, having a godly mentor. The next points I want to mention are:

 ·        RIGHT ASSOCIATION -  2Cor. 6:14-18; Prov.13:20. Your association will determine what will associate with you. Associate

yourself with the right people. A Nigeria adage says “show me your friend and I will show you who you are”. Your association will either make you or break you. Bible backs the above adage when it said “evil communications corrupt good manners” (1Cor. 15:33). Who are your friends? 

·        WISDOM – Prov. 4:7-12.

Wisdom is “the” and not “a” principal thing. It is a principal thing because there’s no substitute to it, not evil the anointing. Knowledge without wisdom ends in disaster. Wisdom, then, is the ability to apply knowledge correctly, I mean correctly. The origin of wisdom is the fear of God. (Psalms 111:10). The more of the word of God you have in your heart helps you to live in the fear of God. So I admonish you to study the word of God daily so as to live in His fear. 

FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH – 1Tim. 6:12.

A fight of faith is a good fight to engage in. Many are fighting the bad fight of fear. Faith comes by hearing and fear also comes by hearing. Have you thought of it why someone always escaped to tell Job the bad news? It was to make him fear. And where there is fear, trust cannot be found. Are you living in fear or faith? To fight the good fight of faith is to keep declaring the word of God as regard success to your hearing. Why? Because your faith is determined by the amount of the word of God you hear. Declare the word of God to yourself at the expense of the lies of the devil. My prayer for you is that God will manifest Himself in your life this year in Jesus Name. I can see you on top. It is well with you.
