2 Timothy 1:6-7.
Many Christians are shying away from speaking
about prosperity. I believe in prosperity. It is God’s in God’s agenda that the
Church of the end time should prosper. The reason is because, through
prosperity shall the kingdom of God be preached (Zach. 1:17). We should not be
tired of speaking about it. What you speak always is a product of what
you believe in. The Bible says we should hold fast our profession (confession)
without wavering (Hebrews 10:23). And what you say is what you become.
Prosperity is not a natural phenomenon. It is a product of
the
empowerment of the Holy Ghost. Prosperity must not be approached casually
lest you end up as a casualty. Prosperity is a spirit. It takes a spiritual
mind to understand the things of the spirit. To a canal man, he cannot understand
those things that are freely given to us, among which is prosperity
(1Cor.2:9-16). Since he doesn’t understand that prosperity is a spiritual thing,
he then results to hard work to keep body and soul together. When you hear of
prosperity, many have so reduce prosperity to money. A look at the Bible makes
us to understand that God’s will for us to prosper is in three fold.
Beloved, I wish above
all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul
prospereth (3 John 2). God’s wish for us to prosper is in three dimensions.
(1) Material prosperity. (2) Mental prosperity. (3) Bodily prosperity. These
are the three dimensions of prosperity you should have. God doesn’t desire you
to have one at the expense of others. The question I want to ask you now is,
why are many though filled with the Holy Ghost still live in poverty? The
answer is not far-fetched. The Holy Ghost can only work in you to the level at
which you yield yourself to Him. He doesn’t force you. The more you yield
yourself to Him the more you stir up the gifts of God in you to prosper.
God
has not given us the spirit of fear… (2 Tim. 1:7). Fear has been the
major weapon of the enemy to keep people in poverty. Fear of failure, fear of
poverty, fear of ill-health and of course fear of responsibility. Fear of failure
will rob you of your confidence in yourself of what you can do to prosper. Fear
of poverty tells you to give calculatedly instead of sacrificially. While fear
of responsibility on the other hand, will rob you of your commitment to God and
men. We can go on and on. If God doesn’t give us the spirit of fear, then there
are gifts He gives us to boost our prosperity. These shall be our focus
tomorrow, God’s willing. Who then is the giver of fear? Of course, the devil gives it. Why? The
reason is to keep men in poverty. Prosperity answers to your faith. Where fear
is, faith cannot be found and vice versa. What is faith? Faith believes in the
ability of God. Fear on the other hand believes in the ability of Satan. Which
one do you have? Is it faith in the
ability of God, or fear in the ability of Satan?
I pray for you today that every spirit of fear launched
against you to stop you from doing what God asks you to do be cast out now!.
Lose your grip from that man/woman. You are free from that fear. In Jesus’ Name
I pray. Amen.
If you are blessed by today’s word, tell others to be part
of it. Share your thoughts and testimonies as you comment. God bless you real
good.
