ACCESSING THE TREASURES IN GOD'S WORD(Cont.)

John 6:63; Joshua 1:8; Prov. 25:2.

The word of God is the authentic source of power. The more of the word of God you have, the more of the power you possess. The reason is because; God’s power is present in His word. His word is the carrier of His power. Accessing this power contained in His word is our focus. I want to bring to the notice of everyone reading this that,

until a man is born again, he cannot access the treasures in the word. He may read, hear, but cannot understand. These treasures are spiritually discerned (1Cor. 2:9-16). The story of the Ethiopia Eunuch in the book of Acts 8, illustrate this correctly. On his way back from Jerusalem where he went to worship, he was reading the book of Isaiah 53 and yet, he did not understand. This made me to know that revelation is not possible without salvation. Until one is saved, he/she doesn’t have access to the mysteries contained in the word of God. Today, let’s continue with the rest factors that

·         CONFESSION – Isaiah 59:21; Heb. 10:23, 13:5-6.

It is a pity today that confession is understood in a negative way. In the above scriptures, you will agree with me that God was not referring to the confession of our sins, but proclamation of His wonderful promises. Manifestation is a direct product of the proclamation of God’s word. A man is not above his word. As the word of God is conceived in your heart through meditation, then voice it out. It is what you declared that you are entitled to possess. Every signs and wonders today is a direct result of a spoken word. The word has to leave your into mouth before there can be a performance (Rom. 10:6-10). Many today are confessing what the devil is doing and fail to tell of His (God) kindness. Don’t be a victim.

·          HEART PREPARATION – 1Sam. 1:13.

Most of what some people read, hear goes no further than the wayside. The birds of the air come along and eat them up. There are also a group of people who has been taken notes for the past 3 years. Yet, they’ve never gone through them once. You need a heart that is fully set for an encounter, to get anything from the word of God. When your heart is not set, you will read, hear, and shout it because others are doing that way, yet you will receive nothing out it. Be expectant anytime you pick your bible to read or whenever a sermon is being delivered in the church.

·         PRACTICE THE WORD – Joshua 1:8.

You must be the doer of the word of God. To create an atmosphere of hearing God’s word, forming a great image about your future and confessing God’s word to yourself daily, your heart being prepared, without doing the word, it lacks the power to deliver to you your desired miracle.
