LUKE 4:1, 14; ACTS 10:38.
Success is
not attainable by strength, skills, hard work, but success is a product of the
anointing. To be above only, it takes the anointing. Psalms 45:7 “Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness:
therefore God, thy God hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy
fellows”.
Daniel and
his three friends were above even in a strange land because
the Bible says “an excellent spirit was upon them” Daniel
6:1-3. That excellent spirit is the anointing of the Holy Spirit. This
anointing upon any man makes him different from his colleagues. This is what
distinguished Jesus from every other Rabbi. Until He obtained the anointing, He
was only known as the carpenter’s son. But after spending 40 days and night in
the wilderness, He returned in the Power of the Spirit, and then His fame went
abroad, not as a carpenter’s Son but as an anointed Man to succeed and to make
people around Him a success. Luke 4:14-21.
Anointing
with oil was significant in the Bible practice. No king ever ascended the throne
without the application of the anointing with oil. E.g.
·
Saul of Tarsus was anointed by Samuel to
ascend the throne as the first king over Israel - 1Sam.10.
·
King
David was anointed with oil to succeed Saul – 1Sam 16.
·
Aaron
and his lineage entered the priestly office through the application of oil.
·
Man
became a living soul by the anointing of the breath of God. - Gen. 2:7.
·
Jesus
was anointed with the Holy Ghost and Power. - Acts 10:38.
·
The
Apostles were anointed with the Holy Ghost in the upper room. - Acts 2:1-13.
No one occupies his/her divine placement without the
anointing. Fulfillment of divine purpose is not a function of strength, skill,
experience but it is the function of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. You need
that anointing in your life if you must occupy your divine placement. I prophesy
into your life that the anointing to enter into your divine placement in life
is coming upon you today in Jesus Name. To be continued.
Amen and I receive the Anointing
