TEXT: "And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the Lord came, saying, Israel shall be thy name" (1Kings 18:31)

Another secret to a world of possibility is revealed in the above anchor scripture which is:

3. UNITY. For the impossible to become possible in our lives, we must embrace unity. The Bible says that Elijah "took twelve stones according to the number of the sons of Jacob..." This symbolizes unity. The twelve stones represent the twelve tribes of Israel. Elijah's action demonstrated to us that where there is unity, anything is possible.

You will recall the story of the building of the Tower of Babel in Genesis chapter 11. The Bible speaks of God testifying to the power of unity: "And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them,  which they have imagined to do" (Gen 11:6). The meaning of what God said above is that nothing will be impossible for them including building a Tower that will reach to heaven because they are one. The reason these people could go far in the building is because they were one. 

Unity is something that you and I know when it’s present and when it’s absent. When there is unity, everything runs smoothly and more gets accomplished but, when there is division and lack of unity, all you have is chaos and confusion and by that, many things will be unaccomplished.

Just imagine the story of the Tower of Babel I mentioned above. God had told Noah and his sons to disperse and repopulate the earth but, rather than them to be obedient to God, they decided to settle down and build themselves a city and a tower that would reach to heavens. We saw God saying they would have accomplished what they set out to do because they were one people and had one language. The New Living Translation says the people were united. Even though they were being disobedient and rebellious to God, the verse shows us the power of unity. We can accomplish the impossible when we work together. 

Enough is enough of division among us in the body of Christ. The Bible says a kingdom that is divided against itself cannot stand. How do you see your next door neighbour? Do you see him as your brother or as an unbeliever or a devil simply because he doesn't belong to the same denomination with you? As long as we are divided against one another, miracles will be far from our reach. Let's be united. Let's stop the rivalry and embrace one another in love and unity. Let's stop the condemnation and bear one another's burden. If we are united in spirit, nothing shall be impossible to us that we imagine to do.

PRAYER: That issue of concern in your life shall end as testimony this month in Jesus name!

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I shall continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
